Mark Robson, Red Mist Leisure

Mark Robson

managing director, Red Mist Leisure

Mark will take the stage with Ed Martin from ETM and Hamish Stoddart from Peach, as part of a panel discussing the experiences of the tenanted and leased model and how pubco/tenant relationships have changed.

Mark graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2000 with a degree in Hotel and Catering Management. He then worked his way from his first graduate position at Sandown Park Racecourse right through to General Manager of the National Film Theatre and IMAX cinema in London.

In 2004 Mark formed Red Mist Leisure, buying a lease at the Half Moon in Charlwood, Surrey. The business expanded and in 2009, at the height of the economic downturn, Red Mist purchased three pubs from Punch Taverns. The company has gone from strength to strength and has recently welcomed their tenth pub, The Castle Inn to the Red Mist family.

In January 2019, Mark became Chair Elect of the BII (British Institute of Innkeeping), a membership organisation for individuals in the licensed retail sector. His focus will drive the BII to provide exceptional guidance and support for licensees and staff in the hospitality sector.
