MCA’s Tenanted Pub Company Summit and Dinner is the flagship event in the tenanted pub industry’s calendar, celebrating the tenanted and leased pub sector being back in the headlines thanks to a series of high-profile investments. Heineken and Patron Capital’s acquisition of Punch – in a deal valuing the UK’s second largest pub co at £1.8bn – and the backing by C&C Group and Proprium of the £230m-rated Admiral Taverns, have shown the value investors see in the sector.
At the heart of a pub sector worth over £22bn a year, the tenanted and leased sector is primed for success – having completed a period of consolidation and arguably facing much less exposure to current headwinds than its managed and more food-led competitors.
Post pubs code, with the end in sight for net site closures and investors once again enthused about the sector, MCA surveys the landscape for tenanted and leased pub operators. Starting with an afternoon conference, the Tenanted Pub Company Summit 2019 will feature leading operators and respected commentators, who will discuss the next stage of the sector’s development, their strategy, relationships with tenants and legislation. The conference will be followed by the annual Tenanted Pub Company dinner, hosted by Admiral Taverns chief executive, Kevin Georgel.
